Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our policies regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds.

We understand that plans can change. This policy outlines our cancellation, rescheduling, and refund procedures for all services provided by Brown Rice Consortium LLC.

Catering Services

Cancellation

  • 30+ days before event: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
  • 15-29 days before event: 50% refund of total amount paid.
  • 7-14 days before event: 25% refund of total amount paid.
  • Less than 7 days: No refund. You may reschedule within 90 days subject to availability.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule your catering event one time without penalty if you provide at least 14 days notice. Additional rescheduling requests may incur a $100 administrative fee.

Private Chef Experiences

  • 14+ days before event: Full refund minus deposit (typically 25% of service cost).
  • 7-13 days before event: 50% refund of total amount paid.
  • Less than 7 days: No refund. Rescheduling available subject to Chef availability.

Event Space Rental

  • 30+ days before event: Full refund of rental fee minus deposit.
  • 15-29 days before event: 50% refund of rental fee.
  • Less than 15 days: No refund. You may reschedule within 60 days subject to availability.

Cooking Classes

  • 7+ days before class: Full refund or credit for future class.
  • 3-6 days before class: Credit for future class (no refund).
  • Less than 3 days: No refund or credit available.

Class credits are valid for 6 months from the original class date.

Meal Prep Services

Due to the perishable nature of food products, meal prep orders cannot be refunded once preparation has begun. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled preparation date for a full refund.

Deposits

Most services require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. Deposit amounts vary by service type:

  • Catering: 25% of estimated total
  • Private Chef: 25% of service cost
  • Space Rental: $500 or 25% (whichever is greater)
  • Cooking Classes: Full payment required at registration

Force Majeure

In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond either party's control (natural disasters, government mandates, severe weather, etc.), we will work with you to reschedule or provide a credit for future services.
